Founded in 2016, Galand Tours is an in-house ecotourism agency in Ecuador dedicated to providing authentic experiences that foster respect for biodiversity.

▪ The starting point: From A to B
Founded in 2016, Galand Tours is an in-house ecotourism agency in Ecuador dedicated to providing authentic experiences that foster respect for biodiversity. For years, its success relied on customer satisfaction, while brand identity took a back seat.
With increasing demand and market shifts following the pandemic, the agency recognised the need to enhance its digital presence and attract new audiences.
Our first collaboration involved a brand audit, which revealed a lack of a clear visual identity and a defined digital strategy.
Following these insights, they decided to invest in their branding, strengthening their positioning in the market. A year and a half later, impressed by the results, they entrusted us once again to refine their digital strategy and further consolidate their presence.
▪ The Pandora’s Box: What the Audit Revealed

Although Galand Tours provided authentic ecotourism experiences, its visual and verbal identity lacked strategic definition. The absence of cohesion in its communication made it difficult to establish recognition and build a strong connection with its target audience.

The agency’s social media did not effectively showcase its unique value proposition and lacked a clear strategy to attract and retain clients. As a result, its communication efforts were less effective, limiting its reach and engagement.

Despite its proven success, Galand Tours operated without a structured value proposition to reinforce its positioning in the industry. This lack of articulation hindered differentiation and made it challenging to scale the business sustainably.

While responsible and sustainable tourism was at the core of Galand Tours’ philosophy, these values were not being leveraged as a strategic communication pillar. By effectively conveying its commitment to sustainability, the brand had a clear opportunity to position itself as a leader within its niche.
▪ The Challenge: A Strategic Move
From the outset, our approach was clear: to position Galand Tours as a brand where experiential travel is the core of every excursion, with flora and fauna taking centre stage.
To achieve this, we analysed four key factors that allowed us to shape a digital strategy aligned with the brand’s essence.
At the market level, its natural point of difference – rooted in sustainability and authentic connection with nature – served as the perfect magnet for attracting an audience committed to ecotourism.
Internally, we strengthened a business model that fosters an organisational culture aligned with environmental values, where every team member integrates sustainable practices into their daily routines.
We also examined the consumer on an individual level, identifying their desire for meaningful experiences that justify paying more for responsible services.
Finally, we integrated social responsibility as a living principle, where each tour becomes an opportunity to educate, conserve and support local communities.
In this way, Galand Tours is not just selling trips, but a shared purpose.

▪ Change in Action: Beyond What Meets the Eye
BRAND ARCHETYPE: THE MAGICIAN
Creating a visual identity without compromising the brand’s established positioning was the real challenge.
Galand Tours, with years of recognition in Ecuador’s domestic ecotourism market, lacked a clear commercial image, as its clients were drawn more to the experience than to the brand itself.
We began with the concept of biodiversity to build authentic branding aligned with its core purpose. The name was born from the fusion of the founder’s name (Galo), the land (Land), and excursions (Tour) — giving rise to Galand Tours.
We designed a warm and approachable identity, featuring playful typography and a logo mark that includes iconic animals such as dolphins and iguanas, representing Ecuador’s four regions.
The colour palette — green, blue, white, almond, and earthy yellow — evokes a deep connection with the natural world.
This entire visual universe is guided by The Magician archetype, transforming the brand into an experience that invites us to live with awareness, joy, and wonder.
